Transformers at Alnwick Castle
The fifth instalment of the popular live action Transformers movie series was filmed in the North East. Alnwick Castle was chosen as a Transformers: The Last Knight filming location, playing host to the movie’s star studded cast in September 2016.
Film Locations
Numerous locations at Alnwick Castle were used for filming, including the Library, the Inner Bailey, the Lion Bridge and Bowburn — located just outside of the castle walls. Many shots of the castle’s exterior feature in the movie.
Hollywood actors Mark Wahlberg and Sir Anthony Hopkins filmed scenes at the Castle, while a number of vehicles were on set, including a tank and iconic Transformer cars Bumblebee and Hot Rod.
