Victorian Falconry & Hawking Show
Join our smartly dressed 19th century falconers as they recreate the traditional art of falconry within the castle grounds. Watch spectacular hawks and falcons in flight and learn how this traditional country sport was not only used to entertain Britain’s nobility, but also how the game caught was processed by the kitchens.

Learn about the eccentric characters who were falconers, how they used horses and hounds to assist their birds, discover the charming folklore of our feathered friends, and watch simulated chases across the sky.
Displays and demonstrations to take place in Alnwick Castle's Barneyside Area at 11am, 1pm, & 3pm.
